Beach Nourishment Analysis

The beaches of our coast can be a very sensitive location. Human activity or large storm events can cause large scale erosion that leaves the coastlines vulnerable. It is important to monitor erosion rates that occur from daily processes to prevent problems in the future. When these erosion rates are high, there are many different variables that are considered to determine what measures to take to restore our beaches. The objective of this paper is to determine the efficiency of current ongoing beach nourishment projects in two locations based off the Verhagen method (1992).
