Rocket Positioning Using Models

Submitted : Fall 2018

For the project, the data was from a YouTube webcast of a SpaceX launch. This webcast has telemetry of speed and altitude of the rocket, as well as the time. From this information, using calculations, the ordered pair position can be achieved. This is done through models and integration of those models. The results I achieved were the ordered pair positions of the rocket’s path to a Geostationary Transfer Orbit. This shows how viewers can become engaged in the launch with only the data from the webcast.
