Diffusion of Sodium into Silicon Dioxide

The problem is to determine the amount of sodium ions that go through the surface of a solid silicon dioxide during a time period. This problem pertains to the field of semiconductors to make sure that certain devices do not get damaged from too much sodium exposure.
