Building the Perfect Racecar

For this project, I will be finding ways to build a perfect racecar. The racecars we have now have room for improvement and I will be looking at ways to improve them. From this project, I was able to determine that making the front of a racecar the heaviest while allowing the rear to have air flow freely. I first derived the instantaneous velocity of a Nissan GTR-LM Nismo and was able to find change in pressure using the Navier-Stokes equation. I was able to find that instead of putting 65% of the mass of the car in the front, Nissan could have added a little more weight, roughly 4.7% more, reducing the drag and creating more downforce. This would have allowed the tires of the car to have a harder impact on the asphalt, allowing to steer with more precision for those tight turns.
