Blood Velocity in Arteries

by Jessica Parker

Submitted : Spring 2017

Doctors perform surgeries on patients every day, but most patients are unaware of the calculus behind the skill of performing a successful surgery. Through laws, summations and limit tests used in the process of this project, the flux or velocity of blood per unit time is found and compared within different arteries, one being completely opened and one being partially blocked. In this project, the problem proposed provides results and a clear example of how these results are used in the medical field and biomedical engineering.
