Finding the Area of a Backyard with an Irregularly Shaped Pool

Submitted : Spring 2017

Knowing the total area of a backyard is important for a contractor when deciding how much it will cost a customer to install brick pavers. If a customer has certain permanent obstacles, such as a pool or a gazebo, figuring out the amount of brick pavers to order can be a challenge. This project utilizes integration methods to figure the area of a backyard with obstacles and calculate the cost of installing brick pavers.
