The biodiversity of common Flora in Long Leaf Pine Forests are measured in two locations on a property in Ocala. By counting the common flora species in both sections on the property were able to insert that data into both the Simpson’s Index (D) and the Shannon-Weiner Index (H’) and find that Section A had a higher biodiversity than Section B. Due to Section A having a higher biodiversity we will clear cut Section B on the property.
