Calculating the Kinematics of a Mustang

Submitted : Fall 2013

The main goal of this project is to find the acceleration and position of a car (in this case a mustang) given the rate (velocity) it travels over a certain time. We can use the curve fitting technique to find the velocity equation, but we will be using polynomial regression instead. Using this information we can create a formula for the position, and acceleration by integration and derivation of the velocity equation in terms of time. We can then find the position, velocity and acceleration at any given time. This may sound simple but the actual work is finding the velocity equation not the position and acceleration equations.
