Area of a Two Stroke Internal Combustion Port

by Kiran Rajaram

Submitted : Fall 2013

Port area and design for two stroke internal combustion engines is critical, it determines the amount of exhaust and intake gasses that enter/exit the cylinder during its scavenge cycle. This port calculation helps us understand the efficiency and power output of the engine depending on application.
