The field of genetics provides the best opportunity to discover the cause of Alzheimer’s disease. Finding the cause and mechanisms of Familial Alzheimer’s Disease (FAD) may provide clues to the cause of Sporadic Alzheimer’s. The most promising candidate genes for study include the APP, PSEN1, and PSEN2 genes. This report makes a simple statistical comparison of the possible gene mutations.
