Submitted : Spring 2013

The Burmese Python is an invasive species that currently inhabit many locations in the United States, in particular the Florida Everglades. With the rise in the exotic animal trade fueling the inflow of pythons into the area, the everglades have become unbalanced with the introduction of a very high level predator. To see judge to see just how massive the python problem in the area is, data from numerous studies were placed together to make several cases as to how fast the rate growth was. After calculation, the graphs show a large growth of pythons at the moment have an exponential curve that could over run the bird population due to their high birthrate and low mortality.
