Determining Time of Death

by Juan Carbonell

Submitted : Fall 2012

The objective of this project is to demonstrate how crime scene investigators can determine the time of death of a murdered person through its relationship with temperature; using first-order differentiation. We differentiated Newton’s law of cooling and described a hypothetical situation where a person is killed to show how temperature correlates with time of death.
