Ballistics: Euler's Method and Air Resistance

by Kevin LeBlanc

Submitted : Fall 2012

The project's goal was to compare the outcomes of finding the travel time and distance of a projectile considering the problem with and without air resistance. Given the differential equations for motion of a projectile in the presence of air resistance, and a short explanation on Euler's method, I was able to find the travel distance and time of the projectile with air resistance. In the case without air resistance, it was a matter of using the basic kinematic equations of physics.
