Given the prices for certain materials and a specific value for volume, the goal in this project is to derive functions for a crate’s optimal dimensions given a volume constraint in order to minimize its production cost. By using length, width and height as variables, l, w and h and consequently eliminating one of these variables, we can take partial derivatives to derive such formulas.
