Acceleration on a Bungee Ride

by Wesley Gibson

Submitted : Fall 2011

The point of this project is to determine the amount of vertical acceleration that is experienced on a amusement bungee ride. The calculations would be done by using calculus and the Euler method, taking into account the spring constant and the dampening constant of the bungee to find the maximum acceleration and the maximum height of the ride. These said values and constants can define the difference between a ride that would be a safe, and enjoyable or a ride that can put a persons life in danger.
