Optimum Location of a Shipping Depot

In order to complete the project parts (a) and (b) in the problem statement must be completed. Part (a) asks for the point along the river where the least amount of piping is used. Through calculus based knowledge the x-value was found to be 5.78 miles along the river. Part (b) asks for the point along the river where the least cost of piping will be used and the x-value was found to be 8.84 miles along the river.
