Blood Alcohol Content

Submitted : Fall 2010

The purpose of this project is to describe the process by which ethanol is removed from the human body using mathematical schemes. Given the kinetics of the reaction steps, we fit experimental data to the calculated scheme to solve for the reaction constants, as well as the initial concentrations of alcohol in the stomach.  To do this we used integration techniques as well as excel to properly place the experimental data into our equation to find the unknowns.
