Productivity of Nursing Paid Hours

by Valerie Lee

Submitted : Spring 2010

The Productivity Trend report for the nursing staff in the Emergency Department at Bartow Regional Medical Center was used to determine the total paid hours from March 2009 through April 2010. This data was used to calculate the normal distribution curve. The mean and standard deviation was calculated. These scores were used to determine the probability that the total paid hours would fall between $2000 and $2500. To determine this, the z-score table was used to calculate the z-score associated with these figures. The results show that the probability of the total paid hours being between $2000 and $2500 is 17.98%.
