Computer simulation: fixed-wing aircraft wing surface area

by Xiangzhong Wei

Submitted : Fall 2018

The lift provided by the fixed-wing aircraft wing is related to the lift coefficient, wing area, aircraft speed and air density. Therefore, under certain conditions of lift coefficient, flight speed and air-to-density, the lift provided by the wing area of a fixed-wing aircraft is related to its area. Since the surface of the wing is curved, it is possible to design the wing area using mathematical tools such as Bezier curves and definite integrals.
