WiFi and Fourier Series

by Kiemon Jones

Submitted : Spring 2017

The goal of this project is to determine how Fourier series works in accordance with Wireless radio connections and how interference can interrupt traffic. Equations for the fourier series were used and manipulated by integration to produce wave forms which can carry multiple signals in the most efficient manner possible. Thus meaning, the more efficient, the less interference and the more ideal speeds can be reached. These equations present engineers with methods which can be used to troubleshoot devices which use wave patterns such as WiFi.
