Using First- & Second-order Differential Equations to denote different types of systems

by Kijon Washington-Moore

Submitted : Spring 2017

In this report/project, we show how different types of systems can be and are represented using different order differential equations, which will be shown by an example of a second order homogeneous differential equation with constant coefficients. Some the conclusions that can be drawn from the results are that first- & second-order differential equations are very common, when looking certain models created by these equations, there are certain constants, and the systems based on these equations can be classified  based on when/where they oscillate (in relation to their final values).
