Naphthalene oxidation in a plug flow reactor

The oxidation of naphthalene in a plug flow reactor requires a minimum inlet temperature in order to fuel a full reaction. The minimum inlet temperature needed for a full oxidation to occur was solved for by applying Euler’s method to the rate law, as well as the energy balance equation to approximate the partial pressure and temperature needed for this to occur. Given the initial pressure of 0.004 atm, a minimum initial temperature of 629.577°K is need for all of the naphthalene to be oxidized.
