Regression Analysis: Examining the Rate of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome

The influence of alcohol in pregnant women, can be used to predict the occurrence of fetal alcohol syndrome.  Using linear regression analysis, the relation of alcohol use and the disease was examined. 7% occurrence of the disease in babies who had a mother that consumed alcohol during pregnancy. The rate of occurrence increases by 0.0005 per 1% of alcohol consumed.
