Finding the Transfer of Heat

by Jacques Pierre

Submitted : Fall 2015

Using the temperature of the object and the temperature of its surroundings, it is possible to find the change in temperature of the glass of water. We shall be using the integration by parts for this situation as well as Newton’s Law of cooling. Using these formulas and other calculations, we were able to find the rate at which the glass of water cools compared to its surroundings.
