Speed of a Meteor

Physics is a great example of how calculus can be applied to the real world. After having met with several different physics instructors, the project chosen was one suggested by a high school physics teacher. Solving the problem involved a technique of integration taught in a Calculus II course. Average value and integration by parts were the methods chosen for solving the problem at hand. Interestingly, enough, after solving the problem and doing some research, it can be concluded that the given equation worked as an actual, realistic speed equation for a meteor.
