Submitted : Spring 2015

In this project, we investigate how calculus can be used to understand the mechanics behind the basketball shot. We derive an equation by understanding that the path taken by the basketball, when shot, can be split into two components. From these two components, we determined the ideal conditions needed for a basketball shot.
