Estimating Future Population Numbers for Whooping Cranes Using the Logistic Equation

By using the logistic equation, future numbers of individuals for a given time can be estimated. This can be used to predict growth of a population over time. Whooping Cranes are an endangered species whose numbers have increased since the mid 20^th century. By using data on the number of individuals per year for a flock, the growth can be predicted for different carrying capacities.
