Calculating the Speed of a Space Shuttle

Submitted : Fall 2014

The objective of this project is to determine the speed of the Space Shuttle (STS-133- Discovery) at Main Engine Cutoff (MECO) occurring at t= 510 s with an initial velocity of 6100 m/s and initial time of 460 s. In order to calculate its speed, we have to record data from the time space shuttle launches until it reaches space and this includes recording time and its speed every 60 seconds. After recording, we will be able to figure out its speed at MECO using the Kinematics Equations.
