Rocket car simulation

by Daniel Roqueplot

Submitted : Fall 2014

For this project, I started off with finding the frontal area of the car with the wheelbase (distance from center of wheel to center of back wheel) is .1333m and the width is about .006m so the frontal area came out to be about 8E-4 m^2. The second part was to calculate the drag force   so you are left with k=  you can now write this formula as. Now you have  and. For the final part of this project, I then used the thrust along with the time intervals of .05, with the Euler’s method equations and  to plot the velocity and distance covered by the car.
