This project employs the Disk Method in order to show its application to real life problems. We use this method of integration in order to find the volume of the head of a vertically symmetric water tower. First, we find the equation that graphically resembles the inner side of the water tower shell. Next, we derive the disk method and apply it to the function of the shape of the water tower. We then convert the units used in the graphic representation of the tower (one-tenth of a foot) back to feet.
