Initial Application of the N-body Problem

by Kristine Heburn

Submitted : Fall 2013

This project gives insight into the n-body problem and its initial application to earthbound motion. We can determine the position and force of celestial bodies in their orbit by solving the n-body problem. The problem can be solved for one or two bodies but has not yet been solved for three or more. As the number of bodies increase, the problem becomes more difficult because it becomes multi-dimensional.
