Converting Between GPS Systems

by Amy Malkowski

Submitted : Fall 2013

This project explores the use of Global Positioning System (GPS) by the conversion from Earth Centered Earth Fixed (ECEF) Cartesian system to the commonly used Angular or Curvilinear coordinate system. The conversion between ECEF to geodetic latitude, longitude, and height involves multiple equations of math. We explore the use of satellites that provide the ECEF coordinates in order to convert them to the Angular or Curvilinear coordinates.
