Estimating Lava Flow Volume: Applications in Volcanic Hazard Assessment

The objective of the work and research herein contained involves the digitization and volume estimation of lava flows in the San Francisco Volcanic Field in northern Arizona. The resulting estimations are a single part of a much larger NSF research proposal scheduled for submission in July 2013. Lava flow volume estimation is among the crucial elements involved in volcanic hazard assessment.
