I'll share excepts of my communications with wondergirl. If I'd have thought about it first, I would have used the handle "baygazer" and the question of who's playing which pieces would be immediately understood. Anyway, it's fitting that wondergirl is white. It's my board, and I'm challenging, so it's proper that I be black. We've agreed to establish a slow pace right from the start and not make a move until the previous one has been published. This will probably be quite helpful later on when any question might arise about just what move was made. So if it looks like your last move was incorrectly published (certainly not impossible), please let me know right away, wondergirl. As mentioned on the home page, wondergirl professes to be "pretty good." I'm sure I'll have my work cut out for me since I'm no chess champ. My thanks to her for venturing upon this quest. I'd like to think that a spectator or two might drop in before it's done. I can be reached at this address. wondergirl wishes to not have her email address posted at this time, but has agreed to allow me to pass on anything of interest that she might want to interject (chess related or not). Wondergirl's second move proved to be a bit "confrontational." I'll return in kind. It may be that this game will become an aggressive one. Sorry, wondergirl. I had second thoughts about my aggressive second move. I think I'll try something else. I hadn't heard from you yet, so let's just say that I still had my finger on that pawn. The board needed some adjusting anyway, so here it is with my "improved" response to your second move. Following 3 . . . I thought that might work out a little differently. Can I take my move back? -- Just kidding. This is already at least "different." After 4 . . . I believe you've gotten a better piece of the center board at this point. It's a bit early to say much more.
