Technical Concentrations
The Department of Mathematics offers specialized technical concentrations within the
general Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics that emphasize a subfield of Environmental
Science. These concentrations are more structured than the general B.A. program and
require additional study in a related field comparable to earning a minor in that field.
This cross disciplinary training prepares the student for a career in Environmental
Science. Furthermore, the student is able to pursue graduate work in either mathematics or
the related field.
