Kathleen de la Peña McCook served as the a member of the Community Action Board (CAB), advisory to the Community Service Block Grants administered by the Hillsborough County Health & Social Services Department from 2004-2008.

Katheen de la Peña McCook (far left) at the 2007 Florida Library Association closing Session. Kathleen received the Lifetime Achievement Award which is presented to a librarian whose distinguished record of professional achievements and accomplishments has spanned decades and advanced the stature of libraries within the State of Florida via such activities as risk taking, innovation and significant change.
